BEACH WALKING



Speed Walking has several fast walking techniques, including Power Walking, Fit Walking, Beach Walking.

Slow Beach Walking (Slow Walking technique) is only Beach Walking. Fast Beach Walking (Speed Walking technique) is Speed Walking.

The origin of Beach Walking is in some walkers of 19th century (Pedestrianism) like Robert Barclay Allardice.

Also, the origin of the Beach Walking is in the Ancient Race Walking (1908-1956).

Walkers of 19th century walking technique and Ancient Race Walking technique were similar to Beach Walking.

Beach Walking respects the Rule of Ancient Race Walking.

Beach Walking was born in 70's of 20th century.

In recent years there have been Beach Walking competitions.

There are currently World Records of Beach Walking (Slow Walking technique) in Multiday distances. (1)

BEACH WALKING TECHNIQUE

SLOW WALKING TECHNIQUE

-The walker must walk straight.

-The walker must walk doing an alternating movement of feet and arms.

-The walker must walk with one foot in permanent contact with the sand.

-The leading leg must be bended.

-The walker can walk doing an exaggerated swivel to the hip.

-The walker must bend his front arm and reach out the other arm.

SPEED WALKING TECHNIQUE

-The walker must walk straight.

-The walker must walk doing an alternating movement of feet and arms.

-The walker must walk with one foot in permanent contact with the sand.

-The leading leg must be bended.

-The walker can walk doing an exaggerated swivel to the hip.

-The arms spread completely from the elbows and these move back.
